The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63b

The Lord in the verse above tells us an interesting fact about words: words are spirit. The words of Jesus are spirit and life, but other words carry spirit, just not necessarily the spirit of life.

You see, there is a fundamental difference between the physical and spiritual realms. In the spiritual realm, there can be a wealth of information transfer at a rate far higher than that which is possible in the physical realm. Knowledge can be transferred to you in the spirit. This is why, when you study, speak in tongues too. You need not just mental knowledge but a spiritual knowledge transfer.

For example, at the moment God formed man (Gen 2:7), because God is a spirit, an amazing amount of information was transferred in that short time.

A human’s genetic code is contained in a sequence of four molecules, represented by the letters A, T, G, and C. Each can be encoded with two bits of binary information: 00, 10, 11, 01.

With the great length of the strands of DNA in each cell, this gives 1.5GB of information per cell. There are 40 trillion cells in the human body.

This works out at 60 zettabytes of information, or 60 followed by 21 zeros.

This is the amount of data transferred at the moment man was made. Amazing…

Have you ever wondered how, in the book of Genesis, it says God spoke and things were created? Each of the statements He made were short, not even long sentences. However, scientists have been studying what He created in those 6 days of speaking brief statements, and they have still not been able to fully understand the great complexity of what was created, in centuries of study and millions of books. Think about it.

So, why is this? Well, the spirit realm can hold and transfer vast amounts of information in volumes that are unknown in the physical realm. Words exist in this realm (the spirit realm). The words of Jesus are spirit and life. However, all words are spirit.

Words are so powerful because they are spirit. They are able to carry and transfer vast amounts of jpower and changes.

I like using this example. A young guy of maybe 19 years goes into an institution to study medicine. He goes in just like any other young guy around. But 6 or 7 years later, he comes out as a qualified doctor. Not just a doctor in name only, but having the mannerisms, skills, attitude, and even the look of a medical doctor.

What happened to change him from any young guy walking in the street into a REAL medical doctor?

WORDS, read, heard, written and acted on or practiced, that’s all…

Words fundamentally change us from within because words are spirit, and we are spirits (Genesis 1:26). A baby, just like any other person, is a spirit also. However, we have the power to mould his or her spirit in different ways through our words and actions around that child.

This is why the Bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21): because our tongues are a tool given to us by God to take control in the realm of the spirit.

Our tongue is a tool given to us by God to reign in life. Words from it can build up our lives, or bring it down.

Mt 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned

Engage the power of words in your life today. Be intentional about the words you read, hear and speak, they have a huge impact on your life.

CONFESSION

I am taking advantage of the power of words, and I am speaking the Word of God consistently over my life. I know that life and death are in the power of my tongue, and I am speaking life only, and blessings into my life day in and day out. I know what to do at all times, and I am a winner in every part of life, hallelujah!
