You are Going Through the Very Opposite

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12

Are you going through the very opposite right now?

Joseph was a man who went through a lot of things. He was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and became a prisoner.

His destiny was to sit in honor, on an elevated throne, ruling as a king.

But he was challenged with becoming the very opposite of a king – he became a slave and a prisoner for a long time until his turnaround experience.

Let’s look at Moses a bit too. His destiny was to become the deliverer of a whole nation. He was meant to deliver tens of thousands, even millions when you count their children.

However, he was born into the opposite of deliverance. He was born into real captivity. In fact his captivity was worse than that of his people. They were born among their own people, in their father’s houses, and had the freedom to go in and out, see their own people, etc. Moses was born into the house of a stranger, and was not free to go in and out to see his people.

Let’s look at David also. David was destined to become the greatest king ever seen in Israel, and that’s what he eventually became.

However, he was given the job none of his brothers wanted to do. It was a lowly job, and they also looked at him that way. This became obvious when Samuel asked for his father’s sons, and even his father didn’t remember that David was one of his sons!

He was everyone’s errand boy. The very opposite of a king, never mind a great king.

Paul was destined to became the Church’s most stubborn champion, but he started out as the very opposite – the Church’s most stubborn persecutor.

Do you notice the trend here?

What you go through in your life … is usually the direct opposite of your destiny in life….

Don’t give up just yet!

If any of the Bible characters above had given up before the Lord had turned their situation around, they would have missed all the glory the Lord had in store for them.

Don’t give up now, you don’t understand exactly what is going on, but you are just going through the opposite of your destiny!

Things will change, even if it takes longer than you expected, change they will…

And you will surely walk in your glory, in Jesus Name!

CONFESSION

I know the Lord has a good plan for my life. His Word says He has plans for good for my life, plans to give me a future and a hope. I am strong and patient, standing on the Word of God, and ALL God’s promises are coming to pass in my life, in Jesus Name.
