Seedtime and Harvest
Tuesday 25th April 2023
Genesis 8:22 As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”
In this verse, the Lord set a deep spiritual principle into place: seedtime and harvest will never end on the earth.
For every harvest that looks nice, there are seeds that were sown. For every seed sown, there will be a harvest. Sowing seeds is not usually very easy.
Psalm 126:4-6
4 Turn back our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the South.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
We learn two very important things from the above verses. First, the Lord’s answer to a cry for Him to turn back the captivity of the Israelites was actually an instruction on the principle of seedtime and harvest.
In other words, the principle of seedtime and harvest is the solution to release from every type of captivity.
Verse 6 also tells us that sowing seeds is not usually easy, but the harvest is always glorious!
For everyone living a life of harvest today, there has been a seedtime of hard work, prayer, commitment, consistency, etc.
There are different types of seeds. Prayer and intercession for others are seeds for blessings and expansion. Giving to God and to man are seeds for financial harvest, mercy, and grace. Diligence and hard work are seeds for greatness. Business (which is working on producing and offering goods and services) is a seed into financial dominion and power.
Speaking the Word of God is a seed for harvest in whatever you talk about. Preaching the Word is a seed for blessings and increase in life. Seeds planted in the house of God produce general blessings and coverings in our lives. Kindness produces harvests of mercy and longevity.
Studying school books is a seed into a great academic result. Satisfying your customers as a businessperson is a seed into business success. Saving is a seed into investment and financial harvest. Marketing your business is a seed that produces business growth. Forgiveness is a seed that produces mercy, blessings from God, and forgiveness and favor from others.
No matter where you are in life, every single person has a seed that can remove them from that level if they keep planting it. Even if you have nothing to sow physically, you have prayer, intercession, kindness, and forgiveness as seeds to sow to take you to a higher level.
There are also bad seeds that can produce a bad harvest. Stealing and cheating are bad seeds that will produce a negative future. Insulting others and unforgiveness are seeds that produce a harvest of difficulties, etc..
Levels in life are dependent on seedtime and harvest. When you give in a certain area at a particular level, you move to the next level in life.
A man of God once said that life is in stages, and men are in levels. This is true. And these stages and levels are controlled by the law of seedtime and harvest.
A good life is simply a good harvest. If you want a good life, you need to consistently plant the right seeds.
The rich and those who have better lives are simply master sowers.
You will become a master sower in Jesus mighty Name.
CONFESSION
I am full of wisdom, strength, and focus, and I am consistently sowing seeds that will produce blessings in my life. I am strong even during the difficult time of seed sowing, and I am receiving my harvest in good time, without measure, in Jesus Name.
