Make a Demand!

make a demand

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17

There’s something Jesus came to do, and successfully did for us.

When referring to the saving work of Christ in the Bible, the Greek word ‘sozo’ is usually used.

But what exactly does “sozo” mean?

So many times, when we talk about how Jesus saved us, we think about how He saved us from sin and the sin nature. This is part of what “sozo” means, but there’s much more to it.

Sozo refers to the full package of what Jesus died for – it means salvation from destruction, sickness, poverty, weakness, and mediocrity.

So, when we talk about what Jesus did for us, it’s not just salvation from sin, even though that is firmly a part of it. It also includes salvation from every low life symptom and evil, sickness or poverty, and giving you protection, wisdom and grace.

Now, all these things have ALREADY been made available to us because of this sacrifice of Jesus for us, Hallelujah!

When we pray now, we do not just ask the Father to do these things for us again. Rather, we MAKE A DEMAND on the what has ALREADY been provided by the sacrifice of Jesus!

We make a demand on our health, already bought by the blood of Jesus. We make a demand on our prosperity. We make a demand on His grace, already bought by the by the blood of Jesus Christ. We make a demand on His protection, already paid for by the sacrifice of Jesus. We make a demand on all our blessings, already paid for by the sacrifice on the cross!

All these things are listed in the book of Deuteronomy under the curses of the law… And the Word says Jesus has redeemed us from them!

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”

Now you have already been redeemed from them all. It’s like you were owing school fees in school, your dad sent your eldest brother who came and paid for everything.

Then they asked you for the same fees, and you went and asked your Dad to give it to you again.

Just study the Word and confess it, making a demand on God’s provision for your money, health, blessings, protection and glory paid for by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross!

I stand on the Word of God and make a demand on the provision made for me by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. I make a demand on my health, my peace, my blessings, my money, and my glory. I make a demand and I receive it in Jesus Name. I am blessed in everything that concerns me, glory to God!

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

Revelation 5:9 ESV And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,

1 John 2:2 ESV He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 Peter 1:18-19 ESV Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
