The Word of God in Your Mouth

Pr 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Your words are powerful.
The Word tells us that there is power in the tongue. Right from Genesis 1, when God looked out on the earth and didn’t see what He wanted, and instead He saw it was formless and void (Gen 1:2), the Bible says He SPOKE, ‘Let there be light’, and there was light.
The Lord’s solution to this serious situation at the beginning of the earth as we know it, was in speaking words.
Thereafter, He said, Let us make man in our image and likeness. In His image, He made us have His own form. In His likeness, He made us operate just like Him, for us to have power in our own words just like He has. Hallelujah!
As He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17
“Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him. Mr 11:23 BSB
So, we have been made by the Lord to operate in the power of our words. Our opening verse – Pr 18:21 – tells us that the power of death and life are in our mouths.
There is tremendous power in our mouths. By our mouths we move mountains. By our mouths confession is made unto our salvation from spiritual death and ailments, mediocrity, poverty, the low life, you name it (Rom 10:10). By our mouths we are justified, or even condemned (Mt 12:37).
Most Christians have issues in their lives because of the words they have been speaking wrong, and the words they have not been speaking right.
We reign in life by the Word of God in our mouth.
When the Bible describes the outfit of the Christian in Ephesians 6:14-17, every part of it is for defence. There is only one part that is for offence and taking new ground (reigning). It is called the sword of the Spirit, it is the Word of God, and it’s in our mouths!
We need to intentionally put the Word of God in our mouths every day. By it we will reign and rule in life.
CONFESSION
I am speaking the Word of God out of my mouth day in and day out, and it is making me stand in dominion in the affairs of life. I am walking in peace, strength, health, prosperity, wisdom and favor. I keep moving forward. I am more than a conqueror, and I am unstoppable in my increase, in Jesus Name!
