Rise Higher Like a Great Building

But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice (great building) higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit. Jude 1:20 AMPC

BUILD YOURSELF UP… RISE HIGHER LIKE A GREAT BUILDING (EDIFICE)…

Why would the Bible use building terms to pass this message across here? Let’s take a closer look.

In this passage, the Bible basically encourages us to use praying in the Holy Spirit to BUILD. Apparently, in the realm of the spirit, you do not need cement or even money to build like you do in the physical realm.

What you need to build in the spirit realm is the power that comes from praying in the spirit, and other spiritual activities, hallelujah.

There is obviously a spirit realm. We do not physically see where God dwells anywhere in the world. But the Bible tells us He is a spirit, and so He dwells in the spirit realm. He wouldn’t be real if He didn’t, because no man has seen him physically.

However, the rules in the spirit realm are different from those in the physical realm. Here we learn one of those rules. You do not need cement or even cash to build over there; what you need is prayer in the spirit and other spiritual activities like study of the Word, speaking the Word, worship, and giving.

Also, in the realm of the spirit, you don’t need an energy drink to be stronger, you don’t need connections to be wiser, and you don’t need an aeroplane to fly. You don’t need a lift to rise high, you just need to immerse yourself in the Holy Ghost and in the Word of God in prayer, study, and speaking, hallelujah!

Also, the Bible tells us that the realm of the spirit controls the physical (2 Corinthians 4:18, Mt 6:33).

So, when you can control the spirit realm by engaging in these spiritual activities, you will be able to control the issues in your life, and rise both in the spiritual and the physical. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Thank you, Father. I am taking more time to engage in spiritual activities. I am praying in the spirit, studying, sharing, and confessing the Word, worshipping and fellowshipping with God, and giving, more and more. I am focusing on these more important activities, and I am moving forward as a result, in Jesus Name!

2 Corinthians 4:18 “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Colossians 3:2 “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
