Seeing Him as He is

‘But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: ‘ John 1:12 KJV

 

The Bible tells us above, that by reason of receiving Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are given the power to become sons of God.

 

It also tells us that because we have been made Sons, and Jesus is the Son of God, we have been made just like Him on the earth:

 

And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten [Son] of the Father, full of grace and truth. ‘ John 1:14b

 

then…

 

…because as He is, so are we in this world. ‘ 1 John 4:17b

 

Jesus was the only begotten of the Father, but He came and died so that anyone who receives Him would receive the power to become a begotten Son of God, just like Him.

 

The Word tells us that man was made in the image and the likeness of God (Gen 1:26). Man was made to look and function like God. When you give your life to the Lord Jesus, you then become a Son of God. Now, God’s ability becomes your ability. The angels move at your command, because they have always been servants to your Father’s family (Hebrews 1:7), hallelujah!

 

Some people actually feel that God is this unreachable concept, or person that is so awesome you cannot approach Him. However, the Bible lets us know that as long as we have come to Christ, we can talk to Him at any time, just like an earthly Father, and even closer than that, because we are just like Him – we are made in His image and likeness – and He loves us so much…

 

Also, because God’s family is a family of king-priests, and you have become part of that family, you have become a king-priest (Rev 1:5), and your words are the words of a king, and mighty in effect now, hallelujah!

 

You can now also see and get a revelation of Jesus just as He is, because you are just like Him!

 

Understand, accept and confess who you are in Christ, and walk as who the Lord has made you to be – a blessed king on the earth, glory to God!

 

CONFESSION

I know who I am in Christ. I am a king and a priest. I rule in all the affairs of life. I am more than a conqueror. I know who I am in Christ, and I issue decrees on my life because of this. I am blessed in my coming in and in my going out. I am blessed in everything that concerns me, and I am more than a conqueror, hallelujah!

MORE LIGHT (MEDITATE ON, AND PRAY WITH THESE)

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
