The translators of the King James Version translated many words consistently, but not the Greek words for “power” and “authority.” For example, in the King James Version, Jesus says in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the POWER of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Although the word “power” is used twice in this verse, two different words are found in the original Greek. Jesus said, ”Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy: and nothing [nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing] shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). Does the Church in this century have less authority than it did right after Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and seating at the Father’s right hand? Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Most of the time, after God speaks to us, the devil and the world would always come in to give us the exact opposite manifestations to shake our faith.
