You Have a Part to Play

YOU HAVE A PART TO PLAY

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise. Hebrews 11:8-9

 

Abraham activated the power and blessings of God when he obeyed the Lord, and set out to move in a direction which he didn’t know where it would end up. Joseph activated the power and blessings of God when he obeyed God by persevering, even in slavery, and interpreting the dream of Pharaoh’s servant. Moses activated the power and blessings of God when he obeyed God and left to tell Pharaoh to let God’s people go. The people were released, and the Lord blessed and rewarded him.

The woman with an issue of blood activated the power and blessings of God when she pressed through the crowd and touched the garment of Jesus, believing that she would be made whole (uke 8:44). Jabez prayed, and his life was changed by the Lord (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).

In receiving the blessings of God in our life, we always have our own part to play. Whether it’s prayer, study and confession of the Word, spending time to hear from the Lord, or acting on the Word, we always have a part to play.

Waiting for God to do something for us, when we have not prayed to be guided on what we ourselves need to do, is not the way of faith. Real faith acts. Anything else is just belief or hope, and it would not produce the results of faith.

Pray to God to show you what to do in that situation today. Start acting on the Word, and you shall receive your turnaround in Jesus Name.

 

CONFESSION

I know what to do. I am obeying the Lord, studying the Word, and acting on His instructions. I am focusing on doing more spiritual activities, and the Lord is blessing and rewarding me in so many ways in my life. I am strong and growing in the Lord everyday, in Jesus mighty Name.
