Proverbs 4:25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

It is important that we be strong & focused in our walk with God.

When the devil sees us going somewhere in life, his next plan is to come against us to try his best to discourage and distract us. This is the major tool of the devil!

When God’s angels appeared to anointed men in the Bible, what they were told most of the time was to be STRONG (Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 1:7,9). This is because it takes strength and focus to obtain the promises of God.

What type of strength is this? This type of strength is full of patience, perseverance, and the character of doing the right thing, NO MATTER what is happening around it.

This type of strength is not easily discouraged by the circumstances around. It keeps going in the presence of challenges/persecutions. It is strong even when things seem not to be going the way it wanted them to.

This is the type of strength that God desires of us. God told Joshua, ‘Be thou strong and very courageous!’ (Joshua 1:7). This strength comes from God’s Word.

Strength is staying on the same course. Strength is taking a decision and standing by it. Weakness is being undecided, out of fear or emotions, or taking a decision and not keeping to it. Weakness is staggering at the promises of the Lord (Romans 4:20). Weakness is giving up on God. Weakness is giving up on our goals because they are challenging.

We have ALL been challenged by weakness in our lives. Bowing down to it constantly though is not God’s will for us. We do not change because of circumstances. We keep to our promises, our decisions, and our goals. The strength to do this comes from the light that we get from the Word of God.

God’s light gives strength.

Engage the force of faith from the Word of God today. When you feel weak, study and speak the Word. Read something that strengthens you and keeps you focused. Being easily distracted is a weakness. Keep your strength by spending time in the Word of God or something motivational today and everyday.

I pray for you. You shall always be strong in Jesus mighty Name!

Father, I thank you, because you fill me with strength, focus and confidence from the light in Your Word today. I confess that I will not be weak. I grow in great strength from day to day by the Spirit of God. I decide what to do, I start it and I keep to it till the end. I am filled with God’s power for great strength and focus in my academics, my business, my marriage, my family, my ministry and in my life, in Jesus’ Name!

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
