ASSISTED TO FULFILL OUR DESTINY

‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work.’ 2 Timothy 3:16-17 CJB

 

Most of us believe the Lord tells us to obey Him just because it is wrong to disobey Him. However, this is not the only reason He wants us to obey Him, even though it is actually wrong to disobey Him.

The most important reason why He wants us to obey Him is because of our destiny. Sin and disobedience makes us open to the attacks of the devil in various parts of our lives, including our glorious destiny in Christ. Obeying the instructions of the Lord in His Word and from His Spirit puts a legal spiritual covering over us, to keep us safe from the darts of the evil one and his demons.

‘For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. ‘ 2 Timothy 1:9 NLT

 

The Bible tells us here that the Lord had a specific plan for each of us before the beginning of time, and obedience would give us access to it. No man is a waste or a mistake. The Lord has a distinct glorious plan for your life, and it includes defeating the devil.

 

However, the plan of the devil is so you would not walk in this beautiful destiny for your life. This is very important to him because he knows God has put power in every man to defeat and displace him, when they obey God in Christ.

 

So he brings in sin and disobedience because he knows with this, we would walk out of the Lord’s power, protection and plan, and he would be safe and be in control.

 

This is the primary reason the Lord wants us to obey Him -so you will fulfill your destiny and walk in your purpose, power and glory on the earth.

 

Study the Word everyday and pray for strength to obey the Lord. You will never miss your destiny in Jesus mighty Name.

 

CONFESSION

I am destined for greatness in Christ Jesus. I do not respond to the manoeuvres of the devil. Rather, I am obedient to the Lord, and I am entering into, and excelling in His purpose and destiny for me on the earth. I am strong in Christ Jesus, I am excelling in doing His Word and becoming the great things He dreams of making me, in Jesus mighty Name.

 

MORE LIGHT (MEDITATE AND PRAY WITH THESE)

Ephesians 1:4-5 Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,

 

John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

 

Ephesians 1:11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,

 

Romans 8:29-30 ‘For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. ‘
