One of the most important things that can catapult you forward in life is the ability to plan and execute. We experience times of the highest level mental of thought available to us when we plan, consciously or unconsciously.

We think better when we take a look at the variables and resources, and opportunities and threats coming at us, then take decisions based on a firm strategy.

However, the disconnect most times comes with execution. If we could take the golden thoughts from these moments and just act on them just 70% of the time, our lives would change in not so long a time.

Notably though, just like most actions we repeatedly indulge in, lack of execution is just a habit.

    – And like every other habit, it can be changed.

The secret with changing deep rooted habits is focusing on changing the very simple, easy instances first.

When we are able to change these simple ones with the opposite, desired habit, and keep to it, our brains (where all habits are rooted anyway), would do the rest of the work.

In other words, starting to change your execution habits by planning and executing in very little things constantly is the secret.

Write what you want to do in your day. Keep to it as much as you possibly can.

You have decided to pick something from the kitchen. The door rings. Get it first. Always change your plans before you change your actions.

Habits are the brains programming. You are reprogramming it.

This is all based on firm research.

By the way, if you have any habits you need to change, just indicate your interest here and I would get you a full ebook of the latest research done on a fail-proof way to change them.

This short write-up is based on it. It’s a New York Times bestseller by Charles Duhigg titled “The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do”

Keep winning. See you at the top!
