Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

One of the most beautiful verses in the Word of God is where it tells us of the impact of the Spirit of God in the human spirit, and the fruit it produces. It is our theme verse for today.

Here is how the Amplified Bible puts it:

But the fruit of the Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Galatians 5:22 AMPC

These fruits are very important to the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes, we are going through challenges and we need the Holy Spirit to reply to us quickly, or someone seems to want to push us to the extremes of anger or resentment. We usually focus on the issue at hand and never wonder if the Lord is also wanting us to use this situation to express one of these virtues.

These fruits are already present in our spirits, but we need to express them or act on them, for them to manifest. Challenges are usually opportunities for us to express these gifts from our spirits into the physical.

Consider the fact that working on practicing the fruits of the spirit might be one thing the Lord wants us to do constantly.

Sometimes, our minds are just focused on getting some physical manifestation of the blessing of the Lord in our lives, and not on the spiritual fruit of the spirit the Lord might want for us.

Let us think on, and train ourselves to manifest these fruits constantly.

You will win in Jesus’ Name.

CONFESSION

I am full of the Word of God. I am manifesting the Word of God and the fruits of the Spirit in my life. I am constantly growing in Christ and in the gifts, fruits, and graces the Word of God talks about, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

MORE LIGHT (MEDITATE ON, AND PRAY WITH THESE)

John 15:1‭-‬2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Colossians 3:12‭-‬15 NKJV Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Ephesians 5:8‭-‬10 NKJV For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
