    The Power of Meditation

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

In this place? Word tells us that we should not conform to this world.

But why does it say so?

In our minds, before we get born again, we are all programmed to conform to this world.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 KJV

    NLT VERSION:
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23 NLT

The part of your mind that the book of Proverbs calls your heart in this passage of scripture, is actually your subconscious mind.

Researchers have discovered that our subconscious mind controls up to 90% of what we do as human beings. The part you are aware of (your conscious mind) just controls about 10% of your actions. Your conscious mind is the place you do your thinking and take your decisions.

This is why when you take a decision a lot of times, you struggle to implementing over time. This is because, you are not usually aware of your subconscious mind, but it is what would still determine whether you carry out your decisions or not.

Romans 12;2 tells us that we HAVE to renew our subconscious mind, and that when we do so, it would cause a complete transformation in our lives.

The subconscious mind is also what is called your comfort zone. Even if you decide to make your life better, if you have not worked on your subconscious mind to get it on board, it would basically sabotage your efforts, and what you would notice is that the more you try, the more things seem not to work out. Without renewing your subconscious, you will always settle back into your comfort zone.

The subconscious is on the boundary between our mind and our spirit, and it is quite powerful. Once it is programmed, it would stay that way for the rest of your life, until it is reprogrammed.

The question then is, how can we reprogram our subconscious mind?

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

The subconscious is on the boundary between our mind and our spirit… The Bible is more or less referring to the subconscious mind in this place. ‘The Word of God… pierces to the dividing asunder (boundary) of the soul and spirit… and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Meditating on the Word of God reprograms (renews) the subconscious mind. No matter the programming that has been there before, and how powerfully destructive it has been, meditating on the Word of God can renew and reprogram it.

What is meditation, the Bible way? Meditation is when you SPEAK, THINK OF, and LOOK at the Word of God at the same time.

You can do this for as little as 10 minutes every day, day and night, and see the amazing results as time goes on.

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law (Word) of the Lord, And in His law (Word) he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
    Psalms 1:1 – 3 NKJV

For maximum effect, you can do it just like the Word recommends it here: day and night, or morning and evening, even if its just for 5 minutes each.
